The Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (ECVO) operates job-live.starterdev.com. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Jobline.

We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection And Use

Through the Jobline platform, ECVO collects and uses personal information and business contact information necessary to ensure safe and proper use of the Jobline. Anyone providing personal information to ECVO via the Jobline platform can expect their information to be carefully protected.

Definition of Business Contact Information

The intent of the Jobline is to be a resource for non-profits to easily share employment opportunities and necessary contact information for interested parties to apply.

Creation of a Jobline account for employers requires ECVO to obtain certain contact information. In most cases, the information required is Business Contact Information related to your organization, including organization name, mailing address, website, social media addresses, email address, and phone numbers—information that is generally available to the public and not considered information that can personally identify staff. Such information is not subject to the same protection as personal information.

Definition of Personal Information

Use of the website by employers also requires certain personally identifiable information in addition to or in lieu of the appropriate Business Contact Information. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, telephone number, and address.

This information is kept confidential and is kept only for use in direct contact between the ECVO and the account holder.

Privacy Practices

Personal information collected via the Jobline is kept confidential and ECVO staff take due care in the collection, preservation, and use of information.

Information collected via the Jobline is only used for the original purpose it was intended. We do not sell, trade, or share mailing lists or lists of users of our website.

We regularly review our privacy practices for compliance and update our policies to reflect changes in federal and provincial law and practice as appropriate. The date of the most recent revision is noted at the top of this page.

By submitting your information through the use of this website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We collect information and data about account holders and visitors to the Jobline. This information may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
