Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Manager to oversee and manage our organization’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, services and contractors. Reporting directly to the Director, Finance & Administration, the IT Manager will work closely with other departments to build collaborative relationships and understand business needs, provide technical solutions, and drive IT strategy to enhance overall productivity and security.

Responsibilities:

IT Strategy & Planning:

·       Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with the Agency’s goals.

·       Assess current and future technology needs, ensuring the IT infrastructure supports business growth.

·       Develop IT policies, procedures, and standards.

·       Perform annual audits/risk management.

·       Participate in the selection and evaluation of the approved Managed Services partner as required.

Team Leadership & Management:

·       Manage internal and external IT professionals, including IT consultants and support staff.

·       Provide oversight, management and of the approved Managed Services partner

·       Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of the IT team, as needed.

·       Foster a collaborative work environment and encourage continuous learning and professional development.

System & Network Management:

·       Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

·       Ensure all IT systems and networks are functioning optimally and securely.

·       Monitor server, storage and network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection:

·       Implement and enforce IT security policies to protect sensitive company data and systems.

·       Ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulations.

·       Coordinate regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

·       Respond to IT security incidents and breaches promptly.

Support & Troubleshooting:

·       Develop and oversee IT helpdesk operations to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.

·       Provide technical support and guidance to staff members for day-to-day IT challenges.

·       Manage troubleshooting and resolution of hardware and software issues.

·       Train and provide support to all staff on IT security, including providing remote and physical access control.

Budget & Vendor Management:

·       Request and manage the approved IT department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely procurement of IT assets.

·       Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with external vendors, service providers, and suppliers.

·       Evaluate and recommend new hardware, software, and technologies, including the establishment of standards thru competitive processes.

Project Management:

·       Lead and manage IT-related projects, including system upgrades, new software implementation, and IT infrastructure changes.

·       Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

·       Communicate project status to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

·       Implement SharePoint and ensure all MS apps and any enCompass Apps are managed as expected.

Documentation & Reporting:

·       Maintain thorough documentation for IT systems, network configurations, procedures, and security protocols.

·       Generate regular reports on IT performance, system status, and service issues for senior management.

 

 

Qualifications / Skills:

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant studies.

·       Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in an IT management or senior technical role.

·       Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.

·       Experience with cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations (e.g., FOIP).

·       Experience in IT project management.

·       Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

·       Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization, and enterprise-level software solutions.

·       Industry certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Cisco, or Microsoft.

·       Experience with ERP systems, databases, and business intelligence tools.

·       Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning

 

Conditions of Employment:

·       Full-time (37.5 hours per week) position with occasional after-hours or weekend work as required for system maintenance or project deadlines.

·       Flexible work arrangements may be available, including remote work options.

 

What we offer:

·       The salary range for this position is $81,600.00 to $102,100.00 annually.
