Child and Youth Support Workers

As a Child and Youth Support Worker you will:

  • Work primarily within the family home and neighbourhood.
  • Support children/youth to be active participants within their community.
  • Create and explore natural learning opportunities.

Applicants must be self-motivated with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills, present themselves as a positive role model and mentor, and ensure the safety and supervision of the children/youth they support.

All positions require that you have your Emergency first Aid & CPR/AED Level C, own vehicle with third party liability of $1 million, a Class 5 driver’s licence, and a clear Police Information Check including vulnerable sector search and will be the financial responsibility of the candidate, as well as a Child Intervention Record Check. Note: Child Intervention Record Check forms are available from Transitions and are free.)
